A typical stereoscope offers
each eye with a lens that makes the image seen through it look bigger and more
distant and generally also shifts its apparent horizontal position, so that for
a person with normal binocular depth perception the edges of the two images
seemingly fuse into one stereo window. A simple stereoscope is restricted in
the size of the image that may be used. A more complex stereoscope utilizes a
pair of horizontal periscope-like devices, allowing the use of larger images
that can present more comprehensive information in a wider field of view.
There are a number of
advantages of stereoscope such as magnification that provides a wider field for
view reduces eye strain, avoids distraction to the user and so on. On the basis
of product type, the Market is classified as Prism Type Stereoscope, Reflex
Type Stereoscope and Fence Type Stereoscope.
