Telescopic Hydraulic Cylinders Market Size, Share, Driving Factors, Challenges, Sales and Revenue Forecast to 2022

Telescopic Hydraulic Cylinders, at times called as multi-stage cylinders, are a type of linear actuator consisting of a series of tubular rods called sleeves. The sleeves (usually four or five) sequentially decrease in diameter and are nested inside of each other. When hydraulic pressure is introduced to the cylinder, the largest sleeve (called the main or barrel) is extended first. After the barrel has reached its maximum stroke, the next sleeve, typically referred to as a stage, begins to extend. This process continues until the cylinder reaches its last stage, called the plunger.

On the basis of product type, the Telescopic Hydraulic Cylinders market is classified assingle acting cylinders and double acting cylinders. Single-acting telescoping cylinders extend under hydraulic pressure and depend on gravity or some external mechanical force for retraction. Single-acting cylinders are used in applications where some form of load is always on the cylinders. The characteristic single-acting telescopic applications are dump trucks and dump trailers. Pressurized oil extends the telescopic cylinder to elevate one end of the dump body and expel its load. When pressure is released, the weight of the dump body forces oil out of the cylinder and it retracts.

Double-acting telescopic cylinders are powered hydraulically in both directions. They can be used in applications where neither gravity nor external force is presented. They are well suitable to noncritical positioning applications necessitatingout-and-back movement of a substantial load. A classic application is the packer-ejector cylinder in refuse vehicles and transfer trailers. The horizontally mounted cylinder pushes a platen to compress the load, then must retract with the platen so more material can be added. Gravity cannot help, so a double-acting cylinder is used.

On the basis of application, the market research report is classified as material handling, automotive, oil and gas, aerospace and defence, agriculture, mining, transportation, marine and shipyard industry, manufacturing, waste management, pulp and paper industry and earthmoving equipment. On the basis of geography, the Telescopic Hydraulic Cylinders market is classified as North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Rest of the World.
